INDIAN SCHOOL MUSCAT (ISM) was established for educating the Indian children living in The Sultanate of Oman on the 15th August 1975. The land for the school was gifted by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, the benevolent Ruler of Oman. The school started with 33 students and 4 teachers; its present strength is 9480 students and 355 teachers (as on 10.05.2018). The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. It has the latest facilities in its laboratories and computer rooms besides classroom aids; professionally designed playground with artificial turf and state-of-the-art multipurpose hall. ISM offers science, commerce and humanities streams in the higher secondary level.
